An animation cycle for a toy shop assistant horrified at what he's seeing..

I know the colours are terrible atm..it's just a quick output from AE.

Is the camera supposed to be viewing him from a downward angle?

Anyway, his feet appear to be on a large angle which is why it appears that the camera is on a downward angle.

Why does the right foot jump up and down?  Is he balancing on one foot?

What is it that he's doing here?  He doesn't look like he's kneeling down, instead it actually looks like the camera is moving above his head (the moving foot makes it appear even worse).

I'll have to see a background that you'd have this guy standing on before I can go on about perspective and feet location.

The camera is meant to be viewing from a downward angle..but i think you're right about the feet..
He's meant to be stationary..and his feet are moving a little too much..and his foot moving up
is me trying to give him that awkward 'i've just smashed something' pose.

will work on the feet more, and perhaps make him turn slightly to the camera to get a better angle of whats going on.

Thanks!

This animation is both good and pants at the same time. I think if you sorted out the problem with the colours and make sure the model had a face that looks right you would be very happy with your animation. At the moment the colour limitation makes the shading on the character look a bit crap. If you sort out the colours i think you would be very happy, the face is a bit weird but you could put that down to artistic licence.

Captain Ricco

he should close his eyes, it looks very weird like that...

And maybe he could put his hands on his hair, like holding his head, grabing it

As i said, the colour isn't a factor..as its rubbish due to exporting in a format i can post in here. That said, the colour also relies heavily on what the face looks like..but im content with the character and colour. Was just the actual animation i wanted the critique on, i really should have stated that in the question.
And the eyes, absolutely! Have now got him closing his eyes and wincing.

thanks for the advice :)
