Title: MS Paints
Post by: Igor on Fri 28/05/2004 10:26:18
2 completely mindless sketches i did in MS Paint. Ink or Photoshop are for pussies ;)

Here's the same pic as the second one above, but with different background. Which dfo you prefer?

Feel free to pop your MS Paints here too.

I like the girl in the second sketch. I'm thinking I might even redo her as a sprite and use her for my game as an NPC, if you have no objections?

I prefer the alternate background.

Exactly. ;D

I like the one with the alternate background too, the man's shadow looks a bit odd and it may work better in my opinion, if that shadow is just replaced by the same girl figure shrinked a bit.

Once again, Igor, you prove that it's the artist behind the image who makes it wonderful, not the tools used to make it.

The first background is SO much cooler than those houses on the second one...

Cheers!

They're terrific!

I must say, I prefer the second backdrop for the girl. It's got a kind of Parisian atmosphere.

I find the first a little confusing visually, my eyes tell me that the male figure is the girl's shadow.

Thanks for replys and opinions!
Btw, it's interesting to hear that man in the background can be confused for girl's shadow.

n00bie- hehe, good one!

Thanks for clearing that up ben! I thought I was going insane! All these people talking about shadows, and I'm thinking "that looks like a man :("

But now I can safely reclaim my pedastool of awesomeness.

(I am humble)

Maybe give the Man some darker shadows. But they both look amazing. Stuff like this could pass for some good stencils.

I dont have a tablet to work with, so its do was done with the mouse (wich isnt the most effective way to make your selfportraitÃ,  :-X)
It took me about 10 - 15 mins to create it.

Great work BTW Igor. They look absolutly stunning for a MSpaint sketch.
