Title: mudi.. no wait, midi for c&c
Post by: Eigen on Wed 01/09/2004 12:22:30
Here's one midi I wrote, but there's something not quite right.
Maybe it sounds a little empty?

I'm far from an expert on music, but i thought that was really good.  ;D

I like it.  Sounds kind of like villagey music from a Sqauresoft RPG.  Maybe just add some hi-hats and then when it picks up add a bass drum and maybe a light snare.  Keep it up!

the biggest thing you are missing here is dynamics in the piano part, each note has the same volume which makes it sound fake. if you can try changing the piano / pizzstring volumes.

that would improve it a lot :)

happy composing

A few notes here and there are off, those bugged me from time to time... But it's quite a lot what the others have said, especially N3TGraph.

And it's a little bit too happy for my taste, especially since it's parts are not all that differing, but that's just me, don't worry about that.

At first, it sounded kinda like a Blink 182 song, then like the theme-song of BaSS.. but thats just my imagination going wild.Ã,  :)
I like it!

I like it. But to stop it getting repetitive I would introduce a clarinet perhaps at the 12 second mark. Do you mind if I do a quick edit?

EDIT: I have made a quick edit of your song. In retrospect it sounds terrible, but it was only a quickie. It may sound better if you change the top bar instrument back to what it was.

Dynamics, please! :)

Also, maybe make the flute an octave higher, and sustain the melody notes.
