Title: Music tutorial
Post by: on Wed 29/06/2005 16:36:33
Does anyone have a good tutorial on making midi musi - specifically with Anville Studio, and what size should I draw backgrounds for 320 x 200 resolution games and 320 x 240 resolution games. When I make it
the full 320 x 200 or 320 x 240 it cuts off the top of the picture with a blue bar where the gui toolbar comes if I move my mouse over it.

Hope this isn't confusing

For future reference, this type of post/question doesn't belong in this forum.

Have you tried searching Google (http://www.google.com) for sites about making MIDI music?

Have you read the AGS manual?  That blue bar cutting off your graphics is another GUI that can be removed.  VERY beginner stuff.

I found >this tutorial< (http://www.geocities.com/midi_melodies/index.html) on the Anvil Studio homepage, it should help you get you started with anvil studio.

Sorry , I posted in the wrong forum - I though it belonged under the critics lounge.

Second, I read the manual through to just before the scripting tutorial - I wanted to get to know the editor before scripting. I must have missed how to hide the gui statusline - I scanned the manual again and found the info

On a search in google I only found info to what midi is and connecting instruments to the computer and record midi - I'm looking for a tutorial on extremely basic music - I don't know the differene between two notes. So I can't do much other than add notes and hope it sounds like something.

Thanks for the tutorial.
