Not really a lot to it. You've got all of these nice effects like the haze on the edge of the planet, but zero detail. Give the land and ice some texture and a broad range of values. You've got a lot of room to work with at 8x6.

very plantoidy. The thing I dont like is the white thing at the top of the main green mass. It doesent look like it belongs. Also some stars are needed in the top left corner of the pic.

I like the cartoonish look of the background.  But if that's where you've aimed for, I'd make sure that the black lines are uniformly visible and there's no color overflow between the clouds and the sea, just like there isn't any between the land and the sea.
