Mean character side view

Since you were all so helpful with my front view, can I get some advice on this side view of my mean guy?  The vanishing point in my backgrounds is set rather high, so this profile shouldn't appear to be directly side on...but I'm afraid it might.

I'm also not sure that he looks as bulky as the front view.  Any comments would be appreciated.

MashPotato

Maybe give him a little bit of a hunch?  It might give him a more surly air and help him look a little bit bigger.
2-minute paintover:

Basically just moved the body back 2 pixels, added some blue for a collar (very messily) and added one line of pixels to the back.

Anarcho

I think that's looking better.  thanks mash.

This should have been posted in the same thread. If the art is from the same game, most of the time it should be in the same thread. This is the same sprite, just a different angle.

I Like Mash's a lot, but I'd make the feet a pixel longer.

Well, maybe if someone who's a moderator cares enough, they'll merge the two threads.  I didn't think it would matter, since I want advice on a different image.  It's not like I'm some troll that litters the forums with useless threads.

Stop littering the forums, Anarcho!!! J/K, looking great!!! Keep up that great ass work!!!

Goo, goo, ga, joob!!!

Mad

unfortunately I haven't got much time!
And although your really cool sprite deserves more attention, I mocked up a very quick edit:

- aligned it a bit better to the front view (arm, belt, hair, shoes...)
- gave him a pot-belly
- gave him a "caveman" profile
- did quite a few things to his arm and hand

hope it helps!

Tone down the aggression level just a bit, Anarcho, although I agree that people who are not moderators really really need to stop pretending to be moderators.  I have no problem with this thread being separate, though in future it would save time if you included similar content in the same thread: ie, multiple views and animations of the same character.  As for the image:

1.  Corrected the position of features so they matched in both views.
2.  Adjusted width of leg in side view slightly.

You did well for the most part, particularly the position of the hand and belt.  The face did not match up with the front view however, so the eyes and mouth were brought down to fix it.  I think that the side view will be fine as is, but if you wanted you could make a 3 quarter view instead and that may help him fit better with your backgrounds.  Of course, if you do this then you should probably also make his front pose angled somewhat, with one leg foreshortened etc.  Nice job!

Was I being aggressive?  Sorry.

Thanks for the edits guys.  I'll work on this more and post the results.
