please don't post bmps...

it looks ok, but is not finished, draw something in it... right now its just the background for a background ^^

don't use standard colors and that much photoshop effects (atleast not that obvious) next time. Although the clouds are ok.

it's kind of empty isn't it?
And the grass dosn't actualy look like... well umm... grass. Try shaping it a bit. Ading some grassy shapes here and there.

No need to set your goals that high; MI is known for its suberb graphics, and many of our best artists would be flattered if their pictures were compared with it.

It's hard to know where to start when it comes to your background, but I would recommend that you wait a bit with the computer graphics, actually. A good idea would be to go outside, and make sketches of some outdoor scenes, try to draw grass, trees, clouds etc.
Start from the beginning, don't rush it.

Your picture does not show up - your link seems to be broken!

You can't just rename a bmp image to make it jpg, you need to convert it in a program.

Also, I said (among some other stuff you probably didn't read) don't rush it, mate. The critics lounge won't run away from you.

And in order to show pictures, you need to write

i made a beginner tutorial just now, based of this general type of background.  give it a try, perhaps you'll find it useful. http://home.att.net/~zolgnar/neutback1.htm
