A very nice look to these...
The outside scene:
- The whole scene has a very night-time feel to it with the blue tones ... the character sticks out like a sore thumb! I'm not really opposed to it ... but he really stands out. The moon also feels WAY too yellow/orange and stands out too much as well (unless this is intentional I'd suggest toning it down a bit)
- I like what appears to be a little house/home in the tree stump ... that's interesting!
The bar scene:
- The perspective feels a bit weird to me! The wall (on the right) appears to go straight across (judging by the roof line) and by the baseline appears to go up/back ... maybe the roof line is a support beam or something?
- some objects have shadows and others do not! It throws off the scene a bit!
- the chandelier ... if it's a foreground shadow effect type object (all black with no details) I'd suggest making the candles black too.
Some good looking stuff ... while not quite professional looking, still very pleasant/fun to look at.
I would also take out those black outlines of the swords and the darts, but apart from that and some things that Darth said, they're really good!
I like the first one a lot but the part of the path that's coming from the camera really bothers me, it should get wider as it approaches.
Also there's some lighting that's not really consistent but i'm not that great at this kinda stuff either. What really stands out to me as wrong are the right tree and the left rock
I really liked the screenshots! But some objects have black outlines, others not... it confuse everything, the trash on the 2 screens on the left is weird comparing to the other graphics. Great drawing ;)
I quite like the screens. They look good. Although, I'm kinda weirded out by being able to see the troll thing's nipples...
The objects on the wall (crossed swords and dart board) seem to stand out more than the rest of the scene though, fedx is definately right. Just change the outline colours?
Jimi
The outside scene:
- For the character just remember to add a colour region to make him bluish.
Thanks for your replies. The reason why some things has black outlines is becuase i took them from one of my older gameproject that never became anything...and after adding them to my new project i just forgot about the outlines...gonna fix that. As for the perspective, I don't see that much of a problem but your advice will help me in future bg's I think...I'm really glad you seem to like it overall though, gives me a little more strength to carry on this oneman project :D
