A screenshot from a Larry-style game that I might do
while I'm waiting for inspiration for my 'real' game project.



The sign on the pink part of the house will be easier to
see in the game, 'cos it's goint to be a flashing neon-light sign

Not bad, but try adding sky effects, textures of the doors, fence, windows etc.

I think the door in the middle is very inappropriate (is that spelled correct?) It shouldn't be there

If you open it you would see the wall between the 2 shops. As for the pink and camo paintings on the wall, they should have an outline

Then lines on the road in holland are white

The door in the middle is supposed to go to the staircase that leads to the apartements on the 1:st floor. The house looks like this: |SHOP|STAIRS|SHOP| where the |:s indicates the walls. The painting on the shops goes over the door 'cos it looked ugly with a yellow square there...

But since you mentioned it, I changed the apperance
of the building to minimalize all missunderstandings...  :

That's good, and I like the stairs on the outside. One thing you might want to change is that pink color on the sex shop. It just seems too intense. I think a normal pink color would be better than MsPaint magenta

I'll keep that in mind, but i thaught it was whize to stick to the standard-palette...

Looks much better with the stairs on the side.  Overall I think it's good, although I agree with Ben on the sex shop color.

Looks great, especially the stairs! I would change the sky color to something lighter for a more cheerful look.

1 Changed the magenta-pnk to a more 'neutral' pink
2 Changed the sky from bluse-blue to cheerfull-blue

And I'm kinda 'proud' of the stairs myself, too...

I liked the blue sky - kind of mario-ish

but this looks good too. The stairs is good.

There's no reason to stick to the standard palette. Even if you use 256 colors, AGS can handle a lot more colors than what is used in the default Mspaint palette.

But I shouldn't complain too much  . Your background looks good, and I think you've improved it a lot with the changes you've made.
