I've got inspired by reading a Mickey Mouse comic and so i tried to draw a background in a similar style. I really love that style, hope you like it too ;)

GarageGothic

I think it looks good. But the flat coloring of the mountains and the foreground clashes somewhat with the painted quality of the sky. Depending on what you're aiming for, you could either add more texture (as in paint, not as in crazy photoshop effects) or try using a plain colored sky with a few stylized clouds. The mountains also seem a bit too crisp compared to everything else, and come off looking like a painted over photograph.

But the style is great. I'd like to see what kind of characters you'd use with this.

TwinMoon

What GG said about the clouds.
They'd look fine in a painting, but not in a comic book.

The style doesn't remind me of Mickey Mouse comics at all, or they've changed the last couple of years.
It looks more like Morris when he did Lucky Luke (which is good).

Well, the Mickey Mouse artists were very different. I always prefered Don Rosa:

I like the sky the way it is, even if the rest is in comic style. But the mountains as well as the ground definitely need some more details.

I would really like to see a game in this style.

Wow, I've never been much of an eye for visual art, I'm more a musical guy, but I think this looks terrific, if I had to add any criticism, it would be , as GarageGothic said, the static colors of the mountain and hill, similar to what you did would the sky and ground would be more appreciated visually, I believe. Other than that, very impressive, good work! :D

Funkmast

Well, blame the smudge tool for the sky ;)
I couldn't resist to try this out, but next time i think i'm going to draw the sky with a simple two color gradient or just a single color. And yes, it really looks like lucky luke. I think it's because of the color tone - pretty warm and saturated. And thanks for taking a look!

TwinMoon

I didn't know Don Rosa - I'm more acquainted with Carl Barks simple style. But Funkmast's style does resemble Don Rosas, so good job on that!

Questionable

I like it, but as mentioned before I think that you need to adress the dimensions of the image.

ie. There are no shadows, therefore, there is no depth.

I F***ING LOVE the colors and the style, though.
All my trophies have disappeared... FINALLY! I'm free!

Forgot to mention this, but I agree with that comment, heh. :P
