Title: My Webcomic
Post by: Stupot on Sat 10/11/2007 13:29:56
I can't draw characters, so I've gone for this brand of 'through the eyes' humour.

A thousand, a million, a zillion apologies, but...

HUH?

EDIT: On a more constructive note, I think gif would be a better format for your image. The jpeg has too many artifacts.

You take a person who's on psycho-pharmacological drugs, give him some booze and a gun and it will end in blood shed?

Don't know, feels more like some governmental notice than a comic. It doesn't really make you laugh, anyhow.

I don't believe you need step 3 to get someone killed.

I interpreted more as instructions for suicide.
But I don't think you should clarify what it means...just let us stay in mystery. Then it's ART!

I thought it was a comment on the health-care system. You can't afford brand-name drugs, so you try the generic drugs, but they don't work, so you buy a gun and boom: health-care problem solved.

Edit: on a more constructive note, you could always use stick figures if you can't draw. Several successul webcomics use stick people (Cyanide & Happiness, etc.) Of course, making people-less comics is more unique.

There's potential in this "through the eye" comic. The strip did not make me laugh nor I found it interesting (and I share libertarian views, so I could even say I disliked somewhat the message),

but I stared long at it (and even now I'm staring at it). There is something that catches your attention, something intriguing about the FPV. It feels more like a sequence of photo-shots or storyboard.

Please give us another example so I can finally decide if it's hot or not  ;)

Looking at the replies in this thread (everyone's got their own interpretation) I'd say this strip succeeds! ;)

The fourth step seems like a parody of FPS games, where death means a bright red screen!

But yeah.... there's no obvious theme thats going to occur in your strips, and it's not funny.  :-\

Once you've allowed pharmacies, one thing leads to another and all hell breaks loose? Sorry, I can't really make heads or tails of this.
