Does this character look any good to you? This is the first time I'm going to try drawing and animating a human(s), and I need some help from people that can draw better, to point me to some things. Note that I coloured it just for test, so it's without any fancy detail, or shadows.

For a first attempt this is great. My only suggestion is to define the neck area a little bit more. The porpotions looks good, the face features are clean and well defined.
Overall a really good beginning.
one does not become punk, just because of a mohawk :P i am aware of the fact that thats what most people associate with the punk evirourment though... but put some holes in his clothes, make the mohawk all the way down the neck, make the colors more harsh and maybe some piercings as well... i think. thats how i looked back in the days anyway... heh.
I think a sleeveless shirt would fit in the punker style...
Maybe some chains and a studded leather jacket? Tattoos and a nose ring? Ah... and boots! Boots with large caps and thin shafts about halfway up to the knees with the trousers bulging out above!
And, I think, (cliché) Punks have a very unique style of walking... They walk with all their limbs slack and dangling, the head hanging low and giving the overall impression of being just one step away from falling asleep where they stand (no offense to Punks!)

You can improve the charcter. :P
(Strongbad Voice) Augh! Crap! I didn't know you were doing one of these! I'll improve on YOUR methods haha!
heh, good drawing though, I agree that hes not dressed for punk tho, a little too buisiness casual. A sleeveles shirt would be good, and as far as piercings, no "real" earings and stuff, give him like, a safety pin in his ear, stuff like that. :^) maybe stick with the buisiness cas, and use a paperclip lol that could be cool.
good luck with your project.
also as far as drawing people goes, maybe stop by a library and grab "Drawing Comics, the MARVEL Way!" lots of nifty pointers about drawing people in there,
also, howtodrawmanga.com has some good tutorials, alot of which can be applied to drawing people in any style.
