Title: Need C&C ongraphic style
Post by: DoorKnobHandle on Sat 21/02/2004 23:29:06
hi guys,

please say what you think about this graphic style...

I made it with the half-life engine and some kinda photoshop filters.

so. would you like to see a game in future with that kind of graphic?

you should have used less filters... perhaps only blurring it a bit or something

get rid of the cross hair (theres a console command) or print screen from hammer (or quark or whatever your making it in) or go into console and do map wutever.bsp to load without the HUD (not sure if that takes cross hair)

That's the crosshair of the adventure, man!

I like it a lot.  It's very original and strange.  However, I don't think many people would go for it in a PNC adventure, beause you have to see your surroundings. Unless, of course, you format the game around the graphics style (ie: dream)

That style seems like something I would see in maybe a console 3rd Person Shooter

i wonder if AGS can make one.   hehe

its kinda hard to tell what´s what... lose the filters would be my suggestion :)

I like this style, but maybe there will be problems with placing smaller items in the game. For example: if you use the same filtering on the object like you used on the background, it may be hard to notice, and on the other hand, if you don't, the object may be too easy to locate.

first: thank you for all that c&c...

I will reduce that filter but wont get rid of him because thats finally what makes the style of that pic. without it it looks like a hl-screenshot...

yeah. the character will be with really much less filter and items with even less :) i think!
