New Background helicopter inside

Realize that because the horizon of the sea is relatively higher, your helicopter is currently flying at a downward angle and at some point will crash leaving it's crew to a watery death, if they don't pull op. This ofcourse might be part of your plot outline.

You would be right if it was an airplane, but I don't think that's true of helicopters. Copters "lean" forward in order to move in that direction.

Yeah.  For a chopper to go "up" you pull up on the collective speeding up the rotor blades, and creating more lift.  to go "forward" you use the collective to keep your altitude while pitching the nose down.  You can also tilt the blades to give you a dead level level flight
