Really nice BGs, only suggestion would be to lighten up the sewer, since you can't see all the nice details, and fade from light to dark in the spotlight and the window.

the light in the sewer was bothering me; light doesn't just make a cone through the air, it illuminates things it is hitting. so I removed the light cone, and made it lighten the floor, some of the wall, the ladder/powerbox, and some dust in the air.

well, you have the right idea,except it should illuminate the circular area on the floor, and the illluminated dust should be fading 'from the light', not from the floor.

i.e. the cone should be brighter near the light source.

I like Stuh's edit, however, it doesn't fit in with the style you've got going on here ...

Quick paint-over:

- added a few hi-lights here and there
- added some shadows here and there

I just gotta take a second to give you props Hotspot ... I love your backgrounds!!
