Dude Man

This is a DOTT style Guybrush that I drew...

Not bad.  I can see the Guybrush in him and the definate DOTT influence.  Only two critiques: 1) Double-pixellation (Dammit! I swore I would never gripe about this).  In some cases, rather than a smooth curve, the double-thick pixels are creating corners and jaggies that don't need to be there (Unless you're trying for a thick-line look).  2) The shading is a tad inconsistent.  I think it'd be better off with either no shading, a simple bi-color shading or full shading throughout.  If I get a sec, I'll demonstrate what I mean by bi-color shading.

Ok.. didn't wanna screw up your style but MS-Paint's GIF handling messed up the colors.  :P  Anyway, here's a removal of some of the double-pixelling to give it the flat-cartoon look:

IMO, looks a little bit cleaner and more consistent.

W/ some basic (Read: Crappy) basic 2-tone shading:

Basically both are just matters of personal taste.  However, if I were to do the basic shading thing, I'd probably use different colors.

might be a bit off-topic, but i feel i have to make a comment on the double-pixel stuff...

the characters in DOTT are displayed at 640x400 but are drawn in 320x200! that means that they have crisp, not-merging pixel outlines. what would be one pixel in 320x200 is now 4 pixels (2x2).
that makes them look flat but also very clear- you can be sure they fit into the room graphics.

blurring pixels or making them darken in pixel gaps (oh my, my english isn't what it used to be...) can make a character look a bit quirky. in my game i spent quite some time to have the outlines of my character fade into a darker colour and that looks very good in the darker areas, but once i had some light locations it looked as if my little Beverly was outlines by a shadow (ready to do the Nightcrawler Bamf anytime ;)

the flat look might not look as detailed as the shaded one, but it will defenitely work reliably for all kinds of locations, wouldn't it?

anyway, i like the style of the DOTT-Guybrush! would be very nice indeed to see him in a game soon! reminds me a bit of the kid-Guygrush in MI3. Only... the nose? a bit too exagerated, in my opinion. but great apart from that.

Hollister Man

(hearing the "Doug" theme in my head)  It looks pretty good, although I missed out on Monkey Island.
That's like looking through a microscope at a bacterial culture and seeing a THOUSAND DANCING HAMSTERS!

Your whole planet is gonna blow up!  Your whole DAMN planet...

Paper Carnival

I actually prefer the original one. Great work, but I feel you didn't make me very DOTTish
