Title: Newbie Animator needs help
Post by: Crook836 on Wed 15/10/2003 22:34:29
Hey, I just downloaded AGS about 3 or 4 days ago, and I need a little help in animating.  I use Paint to draw my characters, but I'm sure theres a more advanced program for it.  Maybe I'm wrong.  Anyway, I've animated one character, but I'm not happy with him, so I want to show him to you.  Problem is I don't know how to post the animated gifs that I've seen.  I would greatly appreciate this information, and once I get him up, your advice.  Thanks alot.

To post an image, first you need it uploaded. Go check out Neole's AGS uploader:

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/upload/upload.html

Once it's uploaded, it should give you the url to the image or animation.

Copy it and put it between the [ i m g ] [ / i m g ] tags. Obviously you remove the spaces in them.

Hope this helps. :)

More advanced than paint you want? Is that possible?

Oh. Yes it is.

You'll need to save it as a gif, jpg, or png first. BMPs are uncompressed and take a long time to download.

Heh. That BMP banner is kind of mean.. But I love it.

Thank's Guys for the help, but I still have a problem.  It seems that my pictures are not working.  I keep seeing the little box with the X in it that means it won't show.  I don't know why.
