Very nice!

Playing a nun? Depends, is there a lot of demon-slaying? ;)

Wow, very good. I think the grey and the black on the robe don't mix well. (Does that make sense?)

if i ever manage to build this game, there will be some demon slaying,  exorcizing and witch hunting, yes

do you think i should use a different shade of grey? i tried making it darker, but then she just looks like a giant ink blot ...

Look nice. I think you should slim the hands down a little and maybe add a little more shading to the face, otherwise great.

You've done absolutely amazing work on that sprite.

But... um, it doesn't really look like a nun. That dress is REALLY form fitting, and the idea of a sexy nun just makes my brain hurt.

I did a little paint over- hope you don't mind.

Basically, all I did was add a scapular, which is a long piece of cloth with a hole cut in it for the head. It sits under the collar wimple and hangs to about ankle length in front and behind. Most nuns I've seen walk with their hands folded underneath.  This makes animation bit easier, because you don't need to animate swinging arms.

I also added a rosary hanging from her waist.

thanks for the suggestions everyone
i'm going to rework her a bit

and thanks a lot for your help dragonrose
i really like your redesign of the habit
maybe the rosary is a bit too much, but i'll save it for mother superior  :)

Um, with all due respect to dragonrose, If I started a game up and my character was an ugly nun like that, I would immediately head straight for the CTRL and Q buttons...

Junglekat, your nun sprite is absolutely fantastic! The fact that her robe is "form-fitting" is the only thing that makes the idea of using a nun as the main character acceptable. It's a truly great sprite, just the way it is (and I also don't see anything wrong with the gray).

But dragonrose, your nun sprite is good too, its just that it's boring (like a real nun). But a hot nun... now THATS a concept!

You get points for your originality, junglekat...  for going 'outside the box' as they say....
