This is a cover of a Swedish song, a ballad written and performed by the slightly mysterious Kjell Höglund. The only original version I could find online was here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_I_mro-hkU.
My (rather corny and not so strict) translation to English lyrics.

I tried to make this very rocky and a bit garage-ish, so there's an unusual amount of compression and distorsion for being me, but also less panning (maybea bad thing?) and a very uncomplicated arrangement; just drums, two guitars and a bass.
I might also add that I haven't heard this song on ordinary speakers yet, as they broke before the recording, so I only know what it sounds like through phones.
C&C appreciated.

Hey Andail!

A nice effort I reckon. :) Your playing SO much better than all the previous songs ou've recorded, so that's great! And your voice seems much more practiced.

Still there are some problems with the mixing, which I don't know if you can treat them with phones only, still you could try.

The main issue I find, is not the volumes or levels, at all, but only the reverb to different parts. Every different part you've recorded sounds like it's in a different place. It appears that the voice is in a normal room, or small hall, the drums in a bright drum booth or something, and the guitars are right on your face. You need to apply reverb to ALL the tracks in order to make them appear that they all are in the same room. (bass is heavily missing from the mix as well).

But other than that, I think it sounds very nice.

Ok, updated with some minor changes. Tried to put equal reverb on all channels and boosted the bass slightly. If this isn't at all a step in the right direction I guess I should continue mixing when I have some decent speakers.
