Since my previous main character wasn't up to scratch I decided to make a new one.
The character is suppose to be an old woman in a dott style.. She's wearing a addidas gym outfit and slippers. I wouldn't mind some critic on her (especilly with the hands) before I start animating her.

Thanks,

Cool character!
Three things I would have changed if I was you: ;)
1 - Jaw is hanging a bit low. Make it a bit smaller
2 - Neck should be attached a bit futher up on her body.
3 - Colors lack contrast and the character becomes a bit bland.
That's about it. Huge improvement on the previous character. Two thumbs up!
that looks really nice, i like it the hand mey need a bit of fattening and im not sure whats up with the feet but it looks realy nie otherwise
keep it up
-Daz
thanks for the help so far, Yoke and Daz.
Here is a new version,

-Jaw is smaller.
-Greater contrasts between the the pink and with the slippers.
but i dont know what you ment with the neck. It's suppose to be leaning forward because i dont want her to look asif shes standing upright.
I'm still having problems with the hands. I've tried, but they're allways too big.

maybe use one less finger? Most cartoony figures have only three or four fingered hands...
Thanks Isegrim. I think i've got the hands right. Any more critic?

I'd go without the nail polish.
Also, the slippers sort of work when you know what you're supposed to be seeing, but not quite. There's a thread around here with a sheep before and after "wooling". You might want to check that out.
I think it's a great character! Very innocent and frail looking - I'm guessing she's not really though, huh?
Steve
I think the neck looks like it comes out of her chest. I would have placed it a bit up and to the right. That or bring her shoulders down a bit.
I'll fix the neck and i'll also lose the nail polish.

Yep- shes suppose to be a deceiving charactor. She's not as frail or innocent as she looksÃ, :). She's very active and loves exercisesing.
Thanks for the help,
iWAN
*Edit*
Here is a newer version-

lovely character iWAN i think the slippers looked better before though...
i cant quite think of whats up with the hand, just keep trying different combinations :)
Thanks OSC. I'm still working on the hands. If i can make the slippers look more like slippers, i'll use them :).
This just screams personality!Ã, Great job Iwan!
I made some edits:
- moved the head/neck back (as Yoke suggested)
- gave it more of a sweat-suit look by giving the top a zipper and making it a blouse (of sorts)
- added just a little more shading to soften some of the edges
Then, just 'cause I got the idea ...
- added some spectacles ... just thought it would be funny and add to the innocent/deception going on!
Great sprite man!
Edit: dg makes it known that he thinks this character resembles neither Mrs. Goggins or Jimmy Saville.
Thanks Darth,
I love the idea of having the belt and the zip. Also i like the glasses.
I cant do anymore edits at the moment as i'm in my friends house.
Thanks again everyone for the help,
iWAN
Sorry iWAN, I wasn't helpful at all.
I think your original was pretty damn good and Darth's edit made it even better.
Maybe you could add a headband? I dunno, it might be too much but it could look good...
Looks good, but please, adjust her breasts. Please.
You adjust her breasts... I'm not going to touch them.... ewwww old boobs! (sorry I just couldn't resist)
you know what the funny thing is. She looks just like my cemistry teacher but in a sporty outfit. And yes her breasts do hang like that. She has to walk like a penguin so she doesn't kick em :P.
Nice work iWAN. The original was already good. If you make some more modifications she could be easyly mistaken for a lucasarts charater ;).
Thanks viktor.
I'm working on a few animations at the moment.
I had an idea from Darths paint overs. When she looks at thing she will get her glasses from her pocket or from around her neck and then wear them to focus on objects... is this a good or bad idea?
As dg suggested, I might give her a head bad, but only for the intro and I might eddit her boobs.
Iwan
I do indeed like this, she looks like someone of the Flora Pro-Active ads!

I like the idea, but it could get a bit tedious having her put on and take off her glasses all the time. Just for reading things or looking at small details would be fine though (Maybe that's what you meant anyway?)
