One background to show

I'm making a big game with AGS. It will not be ready for a long time, but I'd like to hear comments of background(s) (640x400) that we have already drawn. Here is one:

Hey, that's pretty good!  Just make sure your characters complement the semi-grainy style.

Ooooohhhh!!!!! It´s pretty, but I think, the bg needs more colour (flowers, sun, clouds...).

Mm, indeed! I like the style a lot - But make sure you keep the same style throughout the game, as Migs said, otherwise it'll look rather inconsistent...

Hm... Actually, it looks suspiciously like our swedish woods... You from any part of scandinavia?

The blurryness would annoy me a bit after a while, I'd sharpen up the bits that are meant to be in focus.  I mostly like the style though.

What do you think about my pictures when compared with the pictures of Tierra's games?

Actually, our goal is to achieve same or better graphic quality as Tierra's games (for example King's Quest 2 VGA).

I think the backgrounds look very much alike, but the light grass is better in the first one. The second is bright and more blury.
