Hi

Have started drawing again, this time decided to use watercolors. Haven't used them since primary school, but just had the urge to do it this time. I will not work on this piece, but I would greatly appriciate if you would give me feedback. Then I will know what to avoid next time, or how to improve. (There might or might not be a game in the making ;) )

The first one is, pure scan. The second with a little bit contrast and brightness editing in GIMP. The picture itself is on A4 paper.

Hi! I think a bit of a perspective change could help the scene. Have you considered making the tree look more organic? You could also play around with the architecture of the balcony and the little walkway. I like the concept of the scene so far.

I can't comment on the watercoloring because I usually only do digital drawing.

I did a quick sketch of your scene with a lower horizon:

Great that you like the idea. Thanks for the feedback, haven't drawn nature in a long time. Thanks for pointing out how I can improve on the scene. Your sketch is looking cool,(I'm totally jealous that I didn't come up with that design myself) although some elements on my image I want to keep. Like the field in the distance, but that is for me to do. let's see if and how I can improve this. (probably going to search for tutorials on drawing trees.)
