I'm going to be posting some concept sketches of my upcoming game Pancho & Lefty here!! Pancho's the sheriff of a yet unnamed Wild Western type town and Lefty's his rather dumb deputy who will follow you around Sam & Max stylee.
Looking now i've forgot his gun and badge but OH WELL, i think his hat might be a little too big. He's in about late 30's early 40's. C+C please:

very nicely drawn. I only think his eyes could be a little more detailed... but o well its a sketch... and you made him look gooed ;)
I think the hat needs altering because he looks more like a Mexican than a sheriff (unless thats how you meant him to be).
This will be great I've alwas wanted to play an adventure game western. I have played the RTS Desperados but there have been no adventure games based on it.

Now I wonder, if Pancho is a sheriff, where is the sheriff star? A sheriff is uncomplete without a sheriff-star, just want you to know that. If you add the star at his chest, then he will look more like a sheriff.

Depends what kind of toon he is, if he is more the clint eastwood type toon, lose alittle belly, bit more shadow on his chain etc..
if he is more the mel brooks in blazing shadles <he was the mayor> shorter legs, alittle more belly :)
I have always liked the above 2 types in westerns, I have to agree with other poster, he does look very mexican...

Minime: You're right about the eyes, they're just little scribbles at the mo, i'll fix them in the coloured version.
PeaceMan: I've decided to change the size of the hat to a more realistic size (maybe not TOTALLY realistic but we'll see). I have the Desparados game too!

misterx: You're right about the legs, i had a bit of trouble getting them to look a decent size so i'm not going to mess with them! You're right about the pot-belly too so i changed it a little, still a bit of a belly but better!

I actually like the color style on this. If you add shading it would remind me of Outlaws, by LucasArts. I think the basic colors with shadows would look really cool.
Yeah, this looks really nice. It's certainly got a touch of Outlaws in it, like Scummbuddy says. You got to love that game.

they look great!! but pancho's hat makes him look like a mexican, keep it big, but not that big, and make the top smaller. and Lefty dosnt look too dumb too me...

The henchman's legs seem too short to me. he reminds me of hank hills' father on King of the Hill tv show, cause "he got his shins blown off in 'nam"
