Title: Perspective Issues (AGAIN)
Post by: Dualnames on Thu 21/10/2010 16:26:40
A. I'm not much into perspective yet, so a nice edit would be like GREATER than telling me what to do, cause well I can't do it.

I'm trying a 2-point perspective, which was good so far, but damn that counter (reception counter), just is killing me.

All I need is a reception counter but no matter the approach i failed. So if one can draw one for me, it'd be great. Minor thingie, I'm not trying to do a square but rather something like this: http://www.biz2bizonline.com/tiffany/images/napolireception.jpg

It may be square but it has those thingies on the sides. Anyhow its a phycho-ward and well I need a counter.

So if I'm being too demanding and shit. I'm just a learner by visual reference. And well if one would make me a counter I'd learn as well. but asking me or teaching me won't work. At least not without visual reference on this image.

I know I'm on the verge of breaking the critics lounger rules. I want critic, just not the "you can't do 2 point perspective" hassle

Not perfect, but should give you a good headstart. I think what you've been troubled with is that the bottom lines of the counter should pretty much align with the floor, but the top would only be "half" as angled.
Hope you can use that crappy paintover. It's NOT perfect, though; I never really liked the "technical" look.

NO, no paintover for you, NEXT!  ;D You should try a grid, sure there's a tutorial on somewhere on drawing a perspective grid (it'll give you more of a perception of distance in perspective view. It's more work, but it's that or actually making a basic 3d model replica then drawing over it.

@Calin: The LOL is out of perspective.
@Ghost: Some great points there for my future drawings
@anian: I will look this up for sure.

@Khris: Thanks a lot. That's great!!!
