here are some views i did on the comic book character 'The Phantom'
i am quite happy with the side view but the front view is pathetic

paint overs EXTREMELY welcome!
--never mind--

Good lord that looks... Well... Uhm... Nevermind. The comment I had in mind might lead to me getting banned from the CL.
You really should pixel your characters instead of making them in Flash MX. Or at least learn to draw properly. The outlines are extremly messy.

The side view is probably the best thing you've drawn so far, well done!
Side view:
- A common mistake people make is put the eyes higher. They should be about the vertical middle of the head. I lowered them a bit
- There's something wrong with the legs. The back leg should be barely visible if he's just standing, and it looks as though the back leg is longer than the front leg (it's a pixel longer and since it's in the back it looks very weird). I removed the back leg and fixed the front leg a bit.
- The butt looked weird, it's supposed to go along the legs. I fixed it a bit.
- I fixed the arm, somehow it looked like the shoulder was too low
The front view:
- Again the eyes are wrong, but I haven't fixed them.
- The biggest problem is the lack of uniformity (or whatever the word is). The head is not between the shoulders, the legs move kinda to the left, the belt badge is not in the middle of the belt, the left (his left) arm is longer. I drew light blue and light green lines to show you more how it should be (note that these are just quick lines, they're not correct at all so don't just draw over them; they're there only so you get the idea). Try copying body parts and then flipping them horizontally, then edit them a bit if you like.
- Another big problem (almost as bad as the previous one) is that the front view is way different than the side view when it comes to the position of body parts. Whenever you want to draw different views, draw horizontal lines. Everything should be on the same height as the left view. What's sticking out the most is the feet.
- His stomach muscles and breasts were too low. I drew some quick muscles to show a better location. I dunno how stomach muscles are supposed to look like, but neither yours or mine are correct.
try with this template

Whats the black water bottle thing on the side view?
Nevermind? Really??? >:(
When did we stop giving advice on how to approve artwork & just became art critics? I've seen some real crapball pictures since I joined these forums, & this doesn't even come close to some of bad art that I've seen here in CL.
-Brat- If you like to draw with that program, draw your character on a larger scale & shrink the image down. I find that I can save a lot of mistakes that way. I also agree with practicing your perspective, it's a little off.
.
Well, er, it's nice, but, um, maybe (ok enough commas) make it smaller perhaps?
You might've misunderstood, Brat. You draw it on a large scale, & then you shrink down the image to create a high quality, low pixel image.
i didnt misunderstand, When i exported it from flash i didnt notice the huge size.
here it is
