This character is called Pencilman, he can cut through anything with his pointy head. To the right is Sam, Pencilman's secret identity.Ã,

It looks quite good but you need to get rid of the double pixels. Some double pixels are okay but not all around him. The head of Pencilman is way too much different compaired with his alter ego and the noses are different too.

Here's a paintover I done:

What I did was that I got rid all the double pixles and used the alter ego's head on the Pencilman body but I changed the head shape so it matches with your descreption of him. Most superheroes and their alter-egos are quite similiar to each other so that you can recognize the who the super hero/alter ego atcually are. If you for example look at Mr. Incredible from The Incredibles and then look at Bob Parr you can see that those two are the same person even if they wears the supersuit and eyemask. The same goes with Superman/Clark Kent and Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Clark Kent is Superman!?!1!Ã,  :o  Use spoiler tags next time. Jeez.

The shoes/boots on the pencilman do need some more work, but I do like Mats edit on the head, and I like how he made the hair the focal point of the powerful hair/head.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

I took your suggestions and changed it a bit. This is what I did:
-Added insignia to belt
-Modified head to make him look like the same person
-Changed hair as Mats suggested
-Removed double pixels
-Added freckles and mask
-Changed boots

Quote-Removed double pixels

Really? Are you sure?  :P

C&C: Nice colors, but you should use more straight lines and keep body parts similar.

I re-did the character.

Scummbuddy

Your civilian char still has double pixels, most notably around the legs.
I would also select the entire lower region and move his legs/shoes all together over 1 pixel to the right, so that he is better aligned.

The superhero, has some odd weight problems. The arm on the left, (his right arm) needs some more gurth, and yet, the leg below it, needs to lose some gurth. Again, his boots need to be fixed more, but the civilans look just dandy. The super needs his bandana to either go all around his head, or just over the eyes. It's a bit odd for it to just end 1 pixel away from going around the head. (In my opinion.)

I do like this edition much better. Nice job.

(Shakes my head) Scummbuddy, Scummbuddy, Scummbuddy, [bold]everybody[/bold] knows that. No need for a spoiler here. Besides, everyone who have seen Superman movies, tv-series, comics or whatever knows early on who Superman really is. It's suppoused to that the audience know the superheroes's secret idently while villans, superheroes's non-hero friends and so on, doesn't know that. There's no exeption (at least not from what I know). Pretty unneccesary to have spoiler when everybody knows, eh?

Skullkid: It's much better know but you still draw him in Double pixels. Get rid of those and it will look great. I also agree about what Scummbuddy says about the eyemask/bandana.

I'm pretty sure he was joking, dude...

Anyhows. I think your first edit looks the best out of them, but there are still loads of double pixels. They're good sprites, they just need a bit more attention to detail (removing double pixels, making things slightly more symetrical, shaping things better etc.).

As you can see, I have made it look a bit more symetrical.
