I tried changing the resolution of the screen with bilinear resizing, and in my opinion it looks even better like that.
But you do realize that very few of the signs will be readable after scaling?

Edit: One suggestion. Try skewing the arrow sign so that it points slightly upwards. Currently it's too parallel to the stripes in the flag behind it.

For some reason I liked the first one better, so I went with it. This is just a suggestion for the sun/sky thing, and a downtoning of the greebles around the front gate (I didn't know what the holes were for, so I left them like that). The sky is relatively simple so the left wall wouldnt seem so empty in comparison.
Hell is like Tetris, make sure that you fit.

I'm not sure about the sun in the corner, i think it needs to move closer to the top centre of the image. Also the proportions seem way off, the lampost and mail box sizes in comparrison with the trash can and size of the building. Either these items need to appear further apart or changed in size.

Edit - just noticed farlanders second image, the lampost seems fine in that image :p
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

I used your paintover biothlebop, I hope you don't mind? I think the sun could be a bit brighter, so it doesn't look like it is setting.

Good good, now just add some lensflare and it'd be perfect. Try to generate the kind with the spots that stretch diagonally across the picture. The more of the background we can obscure with filters, the better!
