Any suggestions what to do with it (the face especially)

I haven't really changed it much… just fixed up his face, proportions and messed around with the colours a bit.

Here's a quick idea for a face in a style I think you'll be able to emulate:

Compare with your original image, especially the ears, nose, mouth etc., then try it yourself.

hm. And if you can "emulate" strazer's version already, there's way to go further:

It's about same thing, just more colors...

Image is way too small to have any detail with so less colors, so It would be wise to use more colors. Every pixels adds detail!

EDIT: That should be it - small detail because what I show you is larger than actual character. The head's maybe slight too big.

Oh, and should I draw lines to distinct the arms from his torso?

nice but he looks very fat...
but the hair is GREAT
also, fix the shoulders to arm(the 2 pixel to the side)

It's looking quite good. But he looks a bit angry  :P I think next you should add some detail to his body.

P.S I don't know what you're talking about blackman he doesn't look fat at all  ???

If thats your idea of a fat guy then god help us all.

I love the new image, but he does look a bit angry. Other than that I really love his stance.

the reasn he looks angry is taht his brows run into his pupils, channge the colour of the brows to a dark version of the hair colour.

Yikes Lost, that was a bit harsh. I think what he meant was that the HEAD is too fat. I mean, the guy's entire hand could fit into his mouth!

Who cares if the char is fat, half the world is. Is this char the crim or the cop?

Yeah there's been many portly characters in the past that we all know and love, Hoagie from Day of the Tentacle for example.

Guy's a cop - homicide det.

Don't know how to improve his body but I made all the loops and the animation looks quite good.

AnybodyÃ,  got suggestions how to draw his face from the side? That's what I've got:
