Please help me in a corp. Logo design...

Dad has asked me to make a corporative logo.

The corporation is going to be called "New holydays"... And I've been told nothing else.

I don't know if my father is trying to test me for a design office or something, but I feel this is important, so... any paintover, suggestion or combitation (solid sun a with the ship of image 3, and all that...) should be welcomed.

Please, remember that the number of each logos is:

i like 3 and 6, 6 is better at the moment but i think if you changed the writing on 3 then it would be the best, the others are too light and plain.

My mum had me make a logo for her once... never payed me, waste of a day that was. So make sure he pays you good.

They're based on #2. I also like #6, but I think, when you decide to use that one, you should change something about the boat and the tree and the way they're arranged.

NO!!! I had a doubt and I went to Microsoft, in an english text, and typed "Holydays"... And it told me it was ok...

Yea, I like Jareks second one as well... but maybe fix the spelling, and maybe make it a bit darker.

I feel so helpful for pointing out the spelling error. I guess that microsoft must have recognised it as holy days, which is too words.

So did you end up using Jarek's version? If so are you splitting the cash with him?

No... The design that is liking most is 6, because there is a chain of hoteliers called NH, so, there can't be a big NH there. I know Jadek's design has no "NH", but it's so similar to one that actually has that this may have distracted them a bit.

BTW, he is paid enough having my precense in the team Hasselhoff... 

But, hey... the design hasn't been approved yet, we gotta wait... I'll inform if "yes" or "not" in this very thread, ok?

No, not the logos, they're nice.

500â,¬ for drawing a logo? I don't earn this much for a whole month of hard work! 10 minutes of random vector-based paint program.... 

For 500â,¬, I'd tattoo a logo onto my ass.
Er... well, not for 500 euros, but for a possibility to get such cool job assignments (so well paid).

Actually, nope... If the logo is choosen, I'll be paid 500 bucks for making the corporative image, which means designing a lot of other things, like dishes, plaques, notices...

P.S. I did not use a random vector-based paint program. Just a paint program!

$500? That's way above scale as outlined in the GAG guidelines for a beginning designer.

Yeah, for me too! ^_^ But, as said... (and staying VERY OUT of topic), it is just a step, because I'll have to design a lot of more things if approved... and I won't be paid again, so... it's not such a good deal.
