Background - Vehicle

This is a background I made for my upcoming game. The background will be used in a cutscene, and when finished it will be animated to show the car moving and buildings in the background passing by. For now, only the car is "finished," and the background is empty except for some base colors.

What can I do to fix it up?

Oh yeah, that front wheel is missing the rim, so it's supposed to look like that and not the back wheel. And it's a 1985 Volkswagen Golf, if anyone is wondering.

looks good, the back right lights look a tad weird imo, not sure what is wrong without seeing the original

It was hard to tell exactly what was happening around the bottom-rear area...

Mmm... I see something wrong with the texture of the "traffic lights" (sorry, I can´t recall the English name)... They should bright in some way, as they´re made of crystal/plastic... Also, you must think in something for the windows, I´m sure that you already have something in mind, if you could script some kind of reflection it should be cool.

I will try to work with the tail lights.

And yes, I will add reflections on the car and windows after I draw the background and start animating. I want to make sure the car looks its best first, before I animate.

Add a shadow of the car to the road. Doesn't have to be detailed, but it'll help immensely. Also, add small shadows here and there on the car. (window frames, mirror, underneath the bumper, etc.)

This thing looks great.  I like the detail & fairly flat style.  Since everything else has been covered, I'll just mention that I think you should ditch the use of black or near-black for everything (except maybe the tires, depending upon preference).  The lines are good all around but when you throw in some high-saturation colors (high numbered colors on the RGB scale) they tend to stand out like an opposable thumb on a giraffe.

Here's my edit for the day:

1. Added a shadow below the car. Wasn't really sure how big it should be, so this is it for now. Feel free to correct me.
2. Made the black outlines lighter colors. Best result was on the lights.
3. Added shadow to the back window.
4. Made the gray stripe on the side of the roof a bit darker, for the hell of it.
5. Redid the rear end of the car, removing the exhaust and drawing all of the back end.

Because of my hard drive crash, I don't have photoshop.  So I can't do a paint-over to illustrate this ...

I like the flat shading, but I think the image could still benefit from shadows on the car.  As was previously mentioned about rear-view mirrors, etc.  But I think also making one side of the visible car a darker shade would really add to the image.  

Also, when you add reflections to the windows I would also add some transparency.

The tail lights look good.  They look like they wrap around the rear of the car (with the shading I mentioned above it would totally seal the deal!)  but maybe add some dimension to them on the interior?  Just a 1 or 2 pixel line might be enough.  

Does that make sense?  I feel like one of my arms is missing when I can't use photoshop!!  God help me!!!

1. Changed the colors around a lot (the red colors).
2. Added some slight shading underneath the rear bumber, and around the side mirror. Does the shading on the side mirror look ok?
3. Made the right side of the vehicle darker, along with the right side of the rear tail light.
4. Added some "depth" to the tail lights. How can I improve on this?
5. Changed the blue color on the license plate so it isn't so bright.
