Title: portrait using a pen and Ms paint *warning: female form + kinda large file*
Post by: FruitTree on Wed 30/07/2008 15:27:30
do these warnings ever work? I reckon everyone wants to check it out even more if it contains nudity... oh well!

friend of mine asked me if I would draw her and I did, so here she is:

what do you folks think? I only used a pen, no pencil, so it's kinda sketchy, and the colors are very, well, Mspainty, but I like to think I did a decent job, but please feel free to critique! I'm entitled to it hotdamnit! :P

does it look acceptable overall?
are the colors all right?
anatomically correct?
nice art?

let me know!
(please shout at me a lot!)

The technique is nice, kind of old-school comics, nice sketchiness and shading. The only major issue is the head, anatomically speaking. It's too big, and kind of skewed strangely. Eyes and nose too large and too high up. Hard to explain, I could redraw it later.
Good job anyhow :)

Yeah, just doing some quick and simple transforms fixes most of the issues Andail mentioned. I thought the shading in her face was a bit inconsistent, so I tweaked that a bit, too. Two tone shading seems more appropriate, so I removed the orange and the bright yellow. Amazing work on the body. Love the shading. :)
