IMO his nose would look better if it were facing the other direction. Just judging by the way he's running and the style of his hair, it appears to me that he's got his head mostly facing in front of him while looking behind him. The way it is his nose just looks flat to me.

Also that bright blue in those jeans burn my retinas.

But other than that I like it. Nice work.

The face lacks contrast and blends into one large bright spot.
Try adding some.

I did a quick paint-over if you don't mind. Added some contrast to the face, moved the eyes and the mouth further to the left. I also added some wrinkles to his pants.

One of two things come to mind...

"It's just a flesh wound!" or "Ben Jordan, Paranormal OH MY GOD!!!!"

This is a really, really cool sprite. I don't know what you're planning, but this sprite makes me want to see a whole lot more of it. I'd love to see the animation on this one. I can't really be too critical of this one, because in the cartoony style it's in it's nearly flawless, at least as far as Simons' repaint  (now that the face is more visible).

Nice job. Please, show more. As far as I'm concerned, this sprite is the best advertisement you can get for your game

I was improved my image and created 2 sprites (based on the Simonsez paint-over) with 2 different directions of head.

I think the big eyes work great!
I wasn't sure if the guy was actually afraid of someone ripping off more limbs from his body, if he was pranking somebody and running away grinning or if he just clenched his teeth in pain. But now it's pretty obvious.

You might consider opening his mouth for a scream of horror or so

i find that when you use anything but pure white in low res graphic-cartoon-esc bulging eyes, it looks like they are squinting, but maybe thats just me,
