Title: Private-eye midi
Post by: Pet Terry on Sat 22/11/2003 12:15:46
Atleast it's supposed to be :P

Okay, I had this old tune of mine which was crappy, but I liked the melody so I made a midi version of it. I just made it for fun, so if anybody wants to use it, just ask.

I would like some comments and opinions, because something doesn't sound right. I would have liked include some clarinet sounds to the background, but left the idea because I couldn't make them sound right. Feel free to modify the file if you want.

I like it. The melody works really well.. Gives more of a james bond feel than a private-eye-noiry kind of feel, though. If you want to give it a more private-eye feel, you should probably put more swing in the beat, and maybe lose the mechanical bass-snare-bass-snare thing entirely. Right now it sounds like a dance party for spies ;)..

Thanks Ben :) I agree that it doesn't have a private-eye feel and err... wouldn't really work in a private-eye game :P

Sounds as a theme song or something. At the end of the day, good work(again).
