Which direction to take my E-book series(WIP)

Hello, one and all. I am currently playing a small spook series about closet monsters getting spooked and currently wondering on what direction should it take? A somewhat more subtle and build off a character's reactions until reality just falls apart or just cut loose somewhere with gore and bigger, meaner monsters.

Also I really need help with some grammar stuff, which I tried hard to learn about much of it but a lot of it goes over my head when the terms start getting thrown around (such as pre-adverb, noun and conjuction, what is your function?).
