Ok, ok, I admit it wasn't.

However - inspired by visiting the incredible "Indiana Jones: Fountain of Youth" homepage - I went to my keyboard and played a litte on it.

The result is a short 25 second taste of how it COULD have sounded if Mozart really composed the theme.

How do you like it?
Of course it is a joke but c&c is very welcome!

P.S.: I know: "He who praises himself spatters himself." bla bla but I am a little proud of myself - because I managed to record the whole piece from beginning to end in one take without playing all the voices seperately.

It sounds good, although I'm a little confused as to why you wrote this. But as for criticism, I'd say you used WAY too much pedal, especially if you want it to sound like Mozart.

Pretty good mozart style.
I don't like the e flats at around 11'-13'
The last bit reminds me of the codetta to a certain Mozart piece, but I can't remember which.
Mozart is not as "trilly"
Also, the form is kind of wierd, fermata at 7' suggests we're in the middle of a cadenza, about to go on a digression, but then you go straight to a cadential idea, which sounds like the end of a theme, then a codetta which would end a sonata, so it's pretty strange.
also, for the very last few notes, he would never have changed octaves. It should be Ab-C-Ab in same ocatve.
I also compose in Mozart's style. But nothing is on the internet, yet.

Thank you all for your comments!

@Sluggo:
You are right: the pedal ... is to much. However, I probably over-used it to conceal my sloppy playing ... I always do that ;-)

@BlackBaron:
Thank you very much!

@rookworm3:
Wow! You really know what you are talking about! You are right about the last bit of the piece ... it really is the codetta from a Mozart Trio in G-major which I played on the piano just a short time ago. And I've got one question for you: do you have the perfect pitch? How do you know the last octave is Ab ...
