This started out as a doodle to try to break out of an art slump, but I liked it enough to try and finish it up :)
The balance seems a bit off to me, and I've tried to edit the man's position a few times but I still feel like he's pulling away from the woman.

The first is the version I'm working with, the second is with some very quick colour added to see how it looked.
All crit appreciated, thanks!

Very "Calvin Klein ad."

Needs a bit of clean up, but looks good. As for the man's position, maybe arch his back some. The woman is a long backwards "S" shape, but the man is sort of a "C" shape. Puffing his chest out a bit may give him more of a matching shape to the woman. Make sense?

MashPotato

Hehe, resemblance to CK ads purely coincidental! ;)

Thanks Evil, I think I need to adjust more to what you were saying, but a quick small arching the back a bit helped :)

Somehow, the guys face reminds me of a serious Guybrush actually!
I like the new version a lot. Only thing that bothers me is the sharpness of the distant buildings compared to the sketchy lamp. I liked the buildings better as they was, personally.

MashPotato

Thanks Victor :) As it currently stands I also liked the old buildings better, but I plan on sharpening up the foreground so they won't seem so out of place later on (hopefully!)

Questionable

I don't like the position of his face, it feels unnatural. It's too horizontal, maybe? It's as if he doesn't want her to touch him (maybe he doesn't...) I think his head should be tilted to his left more (the right of the picture.) Also, his collar could be cleaned up a bit. His hand sort of just disappears.

I like the older buildings better too, but I think that they could be better in both and I like the direction you said you would take them in.

Score: 8/10

This is a badass piece that reminds me of my favorite artist, Fabian Perez
All my trophies have disappeared... FINALLY! I'm free!

Exactly, the face should be turned more towards the woman to make a more welcome feeling. Also, it's a really nice looking sketch, really. I first thought the guy looked like Andail in the original version, but everyone seems to have their own opinion :) I like this, please finish it. Oh, and the streetlight is a bit crooked, isn't it? Though I think you already knew that.

...     or he should look in the same direction as the woman. That would look natural too I think.

I actually like it the way it is, with the painting giving the impression of a hardcore kind of guy. Like a protagonist similar to Indiana Jones and those types, who adventure around, (this one looks like he adventures around casinos etc, some sort of card shark/conjurer/con-man) usually ensnaring the woman love interest with his charm, but never getting too attached.

I wouldn't suggest changing his position/facial expression. I like it the way it is.

The only thing that bothers me a bit though is the fact that perhaps his arm is a bit too blurry. Nothing major, just pointing it out.
