reflections of the mountains are good but the mountais don't look real (to me at leas)
sand is kinda weird but i guess it's OK

BTW: Is that moon or sun (I'm guessing moon)

One issue I have with it is that you are forgetting a importent fact. the colour of the light colours everything it touches. An image is reflected light after all.A light source that green would make the clouds green, the water and sand tinged with it.
just a thought

I did a little revamp on it.

*Added some green lighting hope you can see the difference.
*And played with the mountians kind of forgot about them the first time Damn Layers.  ::)

Wow the clouds on the left looks awesome !

Good reflection
and the bottom almost looks like polygons?
Did you use 3d software and just texture it?

This is sort of the blind leading the blind here, but the boundary between the water and the sand isn't right.  For one thing, the sand should look concave with respect to the water, not convex: right now, it looks like there's a sandy hill over which you can see the lake and the mountains. Also, the boundary shouldn't be so straight (the boundary should appear more turbulent the closer this scene takes place to the water, if that makes sense).  That's also a very dry color for sand: the sand closest to the water should be wet (i.e. darker).  How much wet sand depends on whether it's an ocean with tides, or a lake, as well as how close you are to the water.

Here's one example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephaniesays/126629794/

You can find many more by searching flickr for "shore" or "shoreline."

Otter has a point if its a hill its all good, but if its not then you should have darker shades ciming up as the waves wet the sands etc.

Alotugh the water looks looks still... so no waves?
