Hello!! I love the style of the 5 Days a Stranger backgrounds,I would like to make backgrounds of the same style, but i have a few questions...

1)¿The backgrounds were made pixel by pixel(pixel art)?
2)The backgrounds have light circles supposed to be gradients, but, how were them made?¿Is it very difficult?
3)Do exist any tutorial for making backgrounds of the style of the game?

Please, answer this questions,i'm very excited for making an adventure game...and sorry for my bad english,i'm spanish, thanks!!!

Dont worry about your english, but you should read the rules. This forum is for work that is already done to a point where you cannot improve it without help. So please, do not post here until you produce some art work.

yay, time to pimp my "old" tutorial -> http://minimi.spijbelaars.com/Sounds/pixelartbgtutor.doc

it shows how to make this background, wich is alittle similar to 5daysastranger:

1) Yes, using mostly line tool and filling.
2) It's not difficult, any over-MSpaint program can do this
3) Most likely, check the tutorials sticky thread in critics lounge main page. But since the style is extremely simple, you don't actually need one.

And yes, don't effin' break the rules!

MSPaint can do it too! But not every the other end can do it :P
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time

If you do not have any example backgrounds you've made to try and match the style I will have to move this to General Discussion.  The critics lounge is for discussing material made by 'you', whether it is attempting to match another style or not, examples are required.
