Title: RON Bus Interior
Post by: Ezekiel on Tue 21/02/2012 21:22:48
I need another set of eyes --

This background is a cutaway interior of a bus for a Reality-On-The-Norm game I'm working on. It is not intended to be an accurate representation of a GMC Scenicruiser, but it's a bus that's been retrofitted to be the lair of the game's villain.

Something is still missing -- thoughts?

It needs depth, lots of it. Currently, the interior looks like a poster on the side of the bus. Turning the brown border into an actual cutaway edge will also help :)

I'd also ditch the blurriness of the background, it clashes with the style of the rest.

How about something like this for the interior?

... with an entry, the first seats higher (because of the wheels), the stairs to be seen and a picture like a map or so?

I don't know how to draw it all correct, but I hope you can see, what I mean ::)

Thanks Khris and Tabata for your feedback.

Based on your notes, the current version --

I tried to create depth by giving the cutaway a shadow, however, I think I have shadow issues, especially with the stairs on the right. I'm not sure how that shadow would fall on the stairs.

Is the wheel well "too thick?"

In regards to the door, the door is on the far left, facing us. i didn't include it in the cutaway because I was trying to avoid having to draw a steering wheel and the front of the bus. Should that be cutaway as well?

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks.
