Hi all,

you did see my other thread, right? I've just finished another character which I also want to get commented. The previous one and this one are 2 of the 3 main party characters, so I'll ask advice on the third too if you don't mind.

It's tiled and turnbased. I made all things myself.

I just don't understand, most of the RPGs I played were in this style!

Yes, most of the ones I have played were in this style as well.  Maybe he means that they're not at the usual overhead angle?  Or because they're not wearing armour and stuff?

In any case, I think those sprites look great (not to mention, completely adorable ^_^).  Keep up the good work!

Well, I haven't really thought about the angle, it's probably the size of the sprite that confuses lo_res_man.

These sprites are based on the "standart" bases which are used in Legend of Mana, Sailor Moon AS, etc.

By the way, which one do you like best of this sprite? The one with light (right) or darker (left) blonde hair? I personally tend to choose for the right, but the left one hase more contrast in it's shadows... What do you suggest?

Thats what I mostly mean. I havn;t played many rpgs, but most seem to be with armor and stuff like that.

Ah, I see. Well, the game where I based this one on (Kingdom Hearts) Doesn't feauture much characters with armor, unless they already whore that in the Disney movie/Final Fantasy game where they're from. So I didn't include that in this game either.

I hope this clearly explains why.

Well, the version of Kingdom Hearts I'm planning features anime instead of Disney movies... though I make a few exceptions to explain the story line.

I still haven't decided on the final version of this one. Left (dark hair) or right (light hair)?

Next question: Should I improve the hands? These are really bothering me with being round balls, but they make animation easier...

The hands look good now! Though I can't remember what they looked like before you editted them, but they must've been fine since I can't remember them bothering me

Well, they where balls existing of only 4 pixels (border isn't counted). I think these look much better, don't they?

If anyone needs to see the former hand version I'll put that one up next to the new one.

Adn yet again I made a shiny new sprite! It's a he this time, so no gargious ladies this time!

I don't know, but I seem to miss something. He looks perfectly like he does in Ayashi No Ceres (Ceres, Celestial Legend), but still... Any ideas how to improve?

Your characters are well detailed. I really like them. But why are the hands in such a strange angle? It looks like the chars were balancing.
