Sepia_Tones? (someone_groans?)

Just wondering if anyone thinks a background in sepia tones or monochromes would be intersting - visually - in a game format?

I just discovered I could do stuff in the above style so just wonderin' what y'all thought. - Kinda goin' for CMI but far more basic - basic pallete ect.

I was thinking about making a game with a greyscale palette. I guess it would work. You'd have to make sure the play is able to recognize objects without their proper colors...

The type of drawing that I am best at is comic book style drawings. I've been meaning to do a Frank Miller-esque black and white, high contrast game for awhile. If I ever get around to it, I was going to make it a horror story along the lines of, say, a silent hill game.

I definitely think severely-limited palette games have a chance.

2ma2 was also working on a game like that Penguinx [ps he's the one that made Permanent Daylight and Platformious and What Time Is It in case no one knows]

as for this image there really isn't anything to say about it, it doesn't look sepia toned to me it just looks like an orange pot. An entire background would have to be done not just a pot.

I'd like to see someone do it; as of right now there are about a billion things standing in the way of my games getting done. Most notably, my home PC's recent motherboard meltdown. Grr.
