Post by: Marley_brother on Fri 04/06/2004 19:24:16
I did a skater in Photoshop and it got pretty good.

What do you think? I like it more than my old things. :D

I used to skate, may I ask why he is at that angle? It appears he is falling off the deck. Nice shape on the guy, maybe add a zipper on the pants and some depth to the deck or some deck art to give it an added "kick"

I think he's standing on a little ramp or something.

I never thought of that, it does appear to be a lip trick all of a sudden.

My ionly crit is that shading makes him look plastic. Pretty good though.

not too bad. Picture won't say it's made in photoshop though, you could do same in mspaint. This shading, yes, you could try several ways to shade, he looks to flat right now...
Maybe try to use more line tool and work a bit with his right hand, unless you're going to draw a road to the background and some wheel tracks and blood over him :D

My edit:

I added some shadows and highlights to make his shirt look wrinkled, but it didn't turn out so good. Make something simmilar on his shirt and trousers to make them look less plastic.

You could also add some details like a logo on the skate or his shirt, etc.
