Hi all.
I just wanted to post some of my wallpapers I made using Photoshop and ask your opinion on them. Take note that I am a 3D artist, not 2D, so some of these might be quite horrible.

Well, let the torture begin.

This is the first PhotoShop wallpaper I made. The picture in the back is a scan from the Dungeon Hack Manual which I coloured (It was originally just a line drawing in black and white). The swords were also made in Photoshop.

This one is a wallpaper I created for our software group, Darctyde. Everything in it was done with Photoshop, no external imports.

This is Magus Mundi. I was playing around a lot with Photoshop's texture and extrude functions, as you can see. ;D

This one is one of my favorites. This is Serefea Mistborne, one of the characters from my fantasy novels I wrote. The scene was rendered in Bryce 5. The sword, Lensflare, bracer, shoulder armor, magic glow and text was done in Photoshop.

Finally, this is Spirits, a photo composition I made (I'm the ghostly figure on the right).

Well, that's it for now. I might post some more at a later date.

Regards,
Vassago.

Just to warn you: brace for some lensflare flames! It's not popular in this forum!

Oh, and Serefea sounds like "Ugly angel" in Spanish to me ...

What're you talking about? Lensflare IS popular here! :=

Nice compositions, I'll say the blades of the swords were a bit overdone, making them each looked like 2 metal sticks instead of one piece of metal. :=

Of all these, the photo composite at the bottom is the most succesful by far.  When making designs like these, always take special care to make the point of the image really stick out. As they are, all parts of the images are very bright and detailed, and are kinda distracting from what they are suppsoed to convey. Especially on logos, the old saying "less is more" is very very valid. Don't get too caught up in snazzy filters, ESPECIALLY Emboss and (gods forbid!) Lensflare.
On the 3D, i would say it looks good. The lighting is a little dull, the sword is kinda strange and her (at least to me) looks a little too big, but otherwise I like it. The pose is good, and the expression looks very fitting.

I LOVE the second one! Things like this are great. Color tones, nifty little details, superb.

I like the fifth one. One-toned and non-disturbing. Prefect for a wallpaper.

First one is okay. Diablo font  feels too used and unoriginal.

Third one makes my eyes bleed. Too golden.

Fourth one... if Poser hadn't so ruined imago...
