I don't have time to get indepth, my apologies.  Perhaps sometime tomorrow...

Anyways, I like it a lot!  Quick comments
- There doesn't seem to be a very difinitive light source in some areas.  The hobo(?)'s face isn't shaded, that large pile in front of him is slightly done so, but there is shading on the boxes and his clothing.  It seems that the general light is coming from the left, it should affect all things.

- The hobo's hand doesn't seem very proportionate.  His ring finger looks wiggly, smaller than his pinky finger.

- If indeed he is a hobo, perhaps stubble, dirty/torn clothing and other things can help that come across.

Oh, and btw, what is he doing?  I'd appreciate it if you gave us more details, rather than "here are some sketches".   ;)

Edit: Perhaps more solid black shadows would help as well, bring more contrast.  Also, to rid it of that sketchy look, rub your thumb over it and smear it out a bit.  Keep it defined, naturally, but if you wish to make it so, it can be smoother.
