Once Upon A Crime: C&C

Once Upon A Crime will be a typical "small game": I want to concentrate on the graphics and get a game done without having that "It will be the bestest, biggest game ever". OUAC will play in a fairytale world that has been pretty mixed up, and you're Red Riding Hood, teenage private investigator, trying to solve a cruel murder: The letter W has been found dead in the woods... suspiciously close to the remote hut of your dear old granny...

I want to get a clear, crisp cartoon style- if I can get a quality that's close to the beautiful Apprentice games I'm glad, and here's a little screen shot for you. Kindly hurl C&C at me!

Lol this looks awesome!

*Things id look at or pay more attention to the straw.. looks odd
*The towel hanging over fence for it to relly be able not to fall there should be more on the back IOW youll see some of the back.
*The pig in the mud is way to clean!
*You forgot to texture the one wall of the wooden house.


Umm cartoonish graphics in forum.. Umm Relentless and Buloght Check out some of their work for some reference here and there.

screenshot looks great, but if you're going to put so much effort forth you should make a custom gui that evokes a fairy tale atmosphere.  Nice work!

The only thing I notice is that the tallest pig has a odd nose. They looked like his eyes at first. It's difficult to tell if he's a hick or a rockabilly. Maybe give him some sunglasses or something to distinguish his eyes more.

As for the pigs, yes, the largest one (Huffy) is to be the typical rural yokel. The fat one's a one-line bore (goes "Yur" most of the time. The small one's the clever little pig that built the brick house, and a very nervous little blighter.

Awesome picture & Great characters... I can only critic the cloud. The edge looks messy. And maybe the tall pig's leg is abit wonky.

That can be arainged quite easy... Just animate  him. No one picks his eyes.

Those pigs look great--I especially like the expression on the little nervous one ^_^

I think Red looks good too.  One possible thing I might change is the size of her bust; if she's a teenager, you might want to slim her down slightly to make her look a little younger... but that really depends on whether she is in her early or late teens.  Keep up the good work ^_^
