This isn't my first attempt at a walk cycle, but it's the first I'm willing to show anyone
(http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.geocities.com/dragonrose_1/walkfront.gif)
Things that I know need to be fixed-
-black background+black boots=bad idea
-you can see the "skeleton" I drew over poking out occasionally
Any C+C would be greatly appreciated
Nice face and hair on the cahr, but she looks like she's doing a part from West Side Story
I like the way the animation has weight. My crit would be that she looks like her legs are too heavy...kind of a guy walk. And maybe the shoulders shouldn't move so much.
She reminds me of the style in Dr. Katz. Unless you are going for that, smooth out those outlines so they move cleanly from one frame to the next.
In the way of style, I like it. Her style tells me, "I am tough, but I KNOW you think I'm sexy." Not pure tough, like a cliche german schoolteacher, nor pure sexy. Really nice.
EDIT
I noticed what looked funny! When most people walk, they swing the arm opposite the leg, right leg/left arm forward, left leg/rioght arm back. She is swinging the same arm and leg, it makes her look a little like she's got a corn cob somewhere it shouldn't be.
EDIT
Nice fluid and energetic motion. Main problems:
1) The arms are too long and too thick, and are following the shoulders instead of setting the pace. This, together with the large hands travelling back first instead of thumb first looks like a dance move from the late 50's.
2) She needs hips.
Everything else looks spot on.
Looks like she's walking backwards.
The arm and leg movements are awsome the head is perfectly detailed
but the torso is moving way too much and the uppertorso is just really choppy I would try and make the torso movement a little less drastic
Keep up the good work
Her face is just kind of gliding on top of her body, hard to explain, harder to fix.
Just change the skeleton on top of her head so It is red, that way it looks like hair, and people will say "I like your attention to detail".
Editification!

Changed the black background and got rid of the skeleton.
I tried to smooth out the lines, I didn't seem to have much luck with it. Also gave her hips, shortened her arms, lowered the shoulders and tried to fix the weird arm swinging.
That's much better! I think it still needs a little cleanup, but she looks quite good. I think the edges of her arms could be smoothed so they look consistent in each frame, but even that isn't REALLY neecesssary.
Some modifications:
(i) Made her head less jerky by repositioning it.
(ii) Made her arms thinner.
(iii) Gave her a larger pelvis.
Really nice anim btw, seems rotoscoped (ment as a compliment).

And I take it as such. Thanks! :-*
Can I actually use that in my game?
Be my guest.
very nice, but it looks like she has X legs, if you know what I mean :)
but it's a very good start!
Whoa! She doesn't have eyelids! She can't blink. Though that isn't very good for you, it must be good for her because she can bet on her staring contests!
I would just say to smooth out the shirt so it doesn't wiggle at the edges (especially at the bottom) and that's about it.
It's a very nice animation, and very smooth motion, and she has beleivable weight, which isn't easy to pull off.

Um.. huh? Not quite sure what you're talking about here. If you're talking about how she has large dark areas for her eyes, that's because she wears very heavy eye makeup. It shows up better in larger pictures, like the talking head.
