Why being cruel with a so cute character? I think it´s nice. I would do it in other way, but I´ve seen your style and it fits with it. BTW, I´ll make the legs shorter and the head bigger.

The pants and shirt are way too dark, at least on this light background. Other than that, it looks great.

Bah. The reason it's too dark is because I have messed up brightness on my computer, it looks okay to me... sorry about that - User friendliness isn't my strong point. Just drawing
