Title: Sprites made with "Blue-Box"
Post by: Digital Mosaic Games on Mon 28/12/2009 19:05:32
Hey AGS-Friends,

I´ve made an animation with the Bluescreen-Technique.
For example "the riddle of master lu", "Phantasmagoria" or "Kings Quest 6"
used this technique.

I think you don't have the GIF set as repeat.  It animated on the loading but hasn't since.
But from what I quickly saw, I think it looked pretty smooth.

Is it... game maker gif?

Download Gif Movie Gear and make it repeat. It's small and you don't have to buy it just to make gif loop.

Good work that animation looks pretty good but I think you need to add 1 or 2 more frames at the end of the animation for when he stands up again :) . But besides that I think the animation looks pretty smooth to me.

Edit: Actually the animation wasn't showing the last couple frames earlier

It´s right! I have deletet a couple of pics at the end of the animation because it was really hard edit this "real" animation to a game-looking graphic. :P

Yes! Thats what I mean with the Bluscreen-Technique ;)
At first It was a video. It´s me on the pictures :=
I formated the video to gif and edited it. That was back-breaking work. :P

It doesn't have to be buddy, you can open video files in Photoshop.

At least with that technique you will always have the perfect perspective and shadows.  ;)
Well that must of been a lot of work  ;) . That technique reminds me of a game I played years ago called Bad Mojo.
