I know the sign is a very rough Cut & Paste but it is very hard to change in Flash MX

I'm not sure if that matches your style but its sort of cartoony.
Also you can add mountians at the backside.

I think it's supposed to be a... cloud, that Raider forgot to remove in his edit (he removed the other one though), which incidentally looks like... some... other... thing... :=
I don't know, but I think the gray moon (it WAS a moon, right?) looked a bit sad, maybe add some yellow to it to make it more match the funky style.
I thin k it's okay to put that sign post like the original though, if it's suppose to be something very close in the foreground, the "text" on the note Raider added looked nice, but I think it can be kept in fewer lines to match the simplistic style (maybe, just 3 lines like the original).
Also, it may help if you add stars too.

Some suggestions:
- neon sign and wood? Could work, but I would show some wiring hanging/linking it to the store.
- that fence looks odd where it is. It's kindda uninviting for costumers. Unless you're going to to add parking spaces in front of it.
- get rid or change the shape of Freudian cloud! ;D
- spread some of the moon glow in the sky near it and as Gilbot said, stars! Unless the store is in a heavily polluted urban centre or something...

- Put in a glow from moon
- Put wires on sign

A lot better know, even if I didn't appreciate what you wrote on the sign near the door. I find it inappropriate and luxurious.

Can't you settle for just one program? I think that newest one has way too much diffrent style stuff in it...
* The gradients on the windows are too detailed for the rest of the style
* The sign's shadow looks very odd, it's out of perspective badly
* The wires are... too diffrent style, fix atleast thsoe.

I think it really depends on where the light source is.
But the mountains or whatever in the background bother me... they just.. end behind the building...

One problem, you should stop using gradients unless they are more subtle, try shading it the same style as the outline. Also avoid simple black outlines. Keep it up, your getting there. ;)
I think the image was better before the big changes. Now the building seems to relay on a very small planet (since the ground is very curved).

The pic looks like it is on the edge of the world. and one step foward and you will fall off....
