My last few journeys into art have not been too great, but I went slowly and took my time to try and get something that looks decent ;).  Without further ado:

It looks a little blurry, but that is because it is blown up from its original 320X200 form for better viewing.  Its suppose to be sort of like a post-apocolyptic sort of thing.

Looks nice, but too dark for me to make out detail here with this crappy monitor.
By the way, you don't really need to blow up the picture, you can just use the original low res picture and scale it with the forum tag to make zoomed and retain the clear crispy pixels. Like:

(remove the spaces after [ and before ] of course)

the buildings wouldnt realistically just keep going until the distance ends. you are definitly on the right track, but as it is right now, its more like you are making traingles. a face that is facing us, and then two vertices that keep going to the horizon line. you have to think about the back walls, and such.

the color scheme is really neat, and its a really cool backdrop. id also shrink down the stained glass on the right building. to me,its too large, as are the doors shown. keep up the good work, we'd love to see an update.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Adding to what Scummbuddy said:
It seems a little bit weird to me that there is one bombed-out building (not talking about the buildings in the red backdrop [which I love by the way] just the three in the foreground) and the other two in pristine condition.  Not even a window broken.  (Not that there are many to be broken).  Also, we should see a little evidence of what was once inside that shell of a building (inner walls, a desk, a staircase [ooh, staircases to nowhere are creepy...]).

Very nice background.  I especially love the backdrop.  It looks like the world is on fire.  Very apocalyptic.

Looks good, I like it. Great use of lighting.
Try adding maybe some rubble or scorch marks to the buildings and the street.
And the perspective bothers me a bit. I can't quite put my finger on it...
